Good news! Red Flat Nickel Corporation was denied their drilling permit thanks to Oregon Rep. Peter DeFazio who issued a joint statement with Rep. Jared Huffman (D-CA) regarding the watershed of the North Fork Smith River, a stream that crosses from southwest Oregon into California. The company is also seeking to drill for cobalt, chromium and scandium. Parts of Oregon and California, rely on the Smith River for drinking water.
