Good news, the hawk is fine. I took him outside because i thought he needed to get back into the sunshine and away from the dogs. I opened the crate to see he was still breathing and I put my hand on his back to see if he was alive and he hopped up and acted like nothing was wrong. He was either stunned, traumatized or he was doing exactly what the raptor center said he would do and lay out flat and not move because that is what baby birds do. He had me thinking he was parallized or hurt seriously. Not at all, just two hours of sitting in my crate and he was ready to go, I took him to out my outdoor table and left the door open and he hopped right out and flew off, to the electric pole and then off to a big tree over the valley. Probably one of the hawks Ive always enjoyed watching here over the years or their offspring being stupid and inexperienced (as the raptor guy called them) ... not knowing anything about fencing. at least there is a happy ending there. Now to get back to my day.
