Good night :D Our evening was fabulous!! My afternoon was rough - TopicsExpress

Good night :D Our evening was fabulous!! My afternoon was rough as physically I am still not quite myself but thankfully my mornings and evenings are better. Joshua actually took himself up to my bed this morning, asked for his movie which I ignored :P The next thing I knew he was asleep (and I was praying he would not pee my bed ;) hahaha). He slept until almost noon and woke happy...which with these younger two is always a shock and a huge blessing!! As the afternoon went on I felt crummier and finally gave in to let him have his movie. However we are in the independent stage. So every time he had to use the potty he would drag his chair over to hit the pause button...ultimately hitting the stop button twice so that his movie inevitably started right smack at the beginning AGAIN :P hahahah Also along with his independence streak...he is trying to use the potty without the add on seat :P What this means in the world of boys, is that my floor got wiped up several times this afternoon...did I mention I was still feeling lousy :P hahahah What this also means is that he would not sit long enough to do his business!!! So, the girls got home from school very excited about meet the teacher night. I whipped up dinner and had them getting cleaned up so we would be ready to go on time. Joshua took it upon himself to head to the washroom to do his business. In which he felt it easier to simply hop in the tub rather than have to hold on with 2 hands for too long :P Seriously, I am not kidding you!! What is with boys and tubs!! Like honestly, the toilet IS located directly beside the tub...and you reach the toilet BEFORE you reach the tub! So in theory, would the toilet not be the quicker option!!!! :P Ugh...and...GROSSNESS :P So, despite all this up and down the stairs adventure today, I must point out what a blessing it was that he FINALLY did his business BEFORE we had to leave the house! We took a taxi to the school as the walk there is harder than the walk home...so we walked home ;) It was super nice to see the kids activities, rooms and to meet my 8yr olds teacher I had not met yet. Joshua gave very little fuss about being restrained in the stroller...thank you God!! Lilly, oh my gosh you are going to be so proud of Lilly :D We walked in to her classroom and she immediately called out Hello .....!!! My daughter, the one who barely spoke a word last year, who shrunk into the wall and truly hated being there. This very child was not clinging to me in any way, was so comfortable to just walk in to her own space and feel at home!!! Her teacher said she spoke a little more last week and this week she is doing amazing :D I could tell!!! Honestly I am so thankful for these teachers who take the time to get to know her and love on her so she feels welcome!! I do try to warn them as often as I can...she is comfortable, which means she will express herself more willingly...WATCH OUT ;) hahahah Hopefully she does not shock them too badly the first time she gets vocal...maybe they will just look at each other and say Oh, this is what she was talking about ;) hahahah After we wandered and played at all the different equipment areas we started home. It was gorgeous weather so I am thankful for that! We saw the clouds turning pink with the sun set and the most gorgeous full moon!! Lilly kept asking me what the moon was called so she can tell her teacher about it tomorrow :) I sent them all straight upstairs to get ready and get in bed as soon as we got home...happily noticing we were only an hour behind schedule :D So Joshua technically went down early...but he does not need to know that ;) Well, tomorrow I have to get us all packed as we have not managed to pull that of, get out the door after lunch to pick up our rental car. Do several errands, load the car and get to the school in time to pick up my crazies :D They are so excited!! I have not told them yet but we are actually doing 2 things this weekend!! When I had towards some of their donor siblings I try to plan a get together...but they preferred going to a farm on Sunday so we are going to do that as well as our original plan!! Lilly LOVES animals so I know everyone will be ecstatic :D Now to play with my budget tomorrow so I can pull it all off :P Wish me luck :D Sweet dreams everyone, thanks for hanging out with us :)
