Good night to share a fun Major League Baseball experience of mine: About 10 years ago I was living in San Diego and working for a sports and entertainment collectible memorabilia company called Fotoball Sports. One of my accounts was the Seattle Mariners and I was there for a few days to meet with the Mariners merchandise buyer to discuss their orders for the back half of the MLB season and playoffs. I was staying at the Westin in downtown Seattle and the plan for my first night was to meet the Mariners buyer for dinner. I took the elevator down to the main lobby and then proceeded to take an escalator down to ground level so I could catch a taxi to dinner. Right as I got on the escalator I noticed a very familiar gentlemans face. He was on his phone with a chord running into his ear. We exchanged a few quick words as I got off the escalator and then I walked outside to find a taxi. Once I found a bellman and told him I needed a taxi to go to dinner he said it would take awhile since they were pretty busy. About a minute later I received a tap on my shoulder from the same gentleman I had seen coming down th escalator and he asked where you headed? I said Im going to Metropolitan Grill and he said cool, my friend and I are headed there too for dinner....want to share a taxi? I immediately said sure! As we both jumped in the taxi the gentleman riding with me told the driver hold up, my buddys on his way. Sure enough a minute later his buddy jumped in the front seat of the taxi. Of all the taxi rides I had taken in my life I had a feeling I wouldnt forget this one. It was a quick taxi ride and I honestly have no recollection of what I talked about with both gents (mostly small talk)..but Ill always remember the two respectful and humble gents I got out of that taxi with, especially after tonight. #DerekJeter and #JorgePosada #Re2pect #LifetimeMemory
