Good read of how SA did this weekend .... Sunday times is right, Irish beat us at our strength which is the kicking game...The main issue yesterday is that we stuck to the running game when conditions didnt suit this! Not sure whether HM is bowing to supporters pressure but you cant run in NH like you do in the South! We kicked from hand only 18 times, Ireland 27 times We passed 133 times, Ireland only 83 times We ran the ball 118 times, Ireland only 72 times we ran the ball 355 meters, Ireland only 232 m Our tackling was non-existent. The usual hard men did not show up and our top tackler was, wait for it...Jannie du Plessis, (10), followed by Victor (8), Marcell (8) and Schalk with a good 7 tackles in just 35 minutes! Jan had a good game, beating 5 defenders (highest in the team), but there was little or no support. Marcell beat 4 defenders, Duane had an off day, hes allowed one as hes been a monster all season! He made only 4 tackles and missed 2 of them, but thats life. Cornall was lost, but as with Habana got no ball! Both great finishers so cut them a break! The team needs to adapt to conditions and will have to show up against England. We cant play running rugby when it doesnt make sense. Unfortunately both our scrumhalves on tour are runners, and have poor kicking games! We are missing FDP and Steyn. Horses for courses gents, please! If we play to our traditional strenghts and then run the ball in the last 15 minutes, we will beat england! Bokke for Life!
