Had a very lovely call from a course director at Brighton Uni who has made Gold Medal Flapjack compulsory reading for his final year students in Sports Law because of the inside view it gives on the fate deciding role of Head Coaches. And Im booked to speak on the Sports Business Management course next year - how cool is that? He says its a very male dominated course (well the title has sport, business and management in it) but he has aspirations to to get the intake to 50/50. We also got side-tracked into a great discussion about why women train but wont compete. The triathlon club hes part of has more women members than men, and they train hours and hours a week but only a quarter of the women compete compared to most of the men. I have plans for this topic to be a personal mission in 2015 so its exciting to think there might be some sort of Brighton Uni partnership. Watch this space... :-)
