Good snowy morning to you all! Blahhhhh, the snow is falling here at Mystic Hollow and quite steadily I might add! I will post photos a little later. What is the weather like in your neck of the woods? The chickens are NOT impressed to say the least, most are staying in the coop and the few that have ventured out the chicken door are staying on the non-snow covered ground....which is minimal right now lol. Jinnie and Tommy are the only ones who have ventured beyond the coop and run so far and then they went right back to the run. They are all quiet and sullen this morning. I wonder what they will think when it’s really winter! They are gonna freeze their tail feathers off! (not literally we hope). Its way to early for the snow......booooooo....but sitting in the trailer looking out the window it does look beautiful even though its that wet heavy snow....you know the wet sloppy stuff that soaks you to the bone...ya that kind! It’s a good day for family games and coffee I think. Cup number 2 is going down nicely, the kids are reading and the animals are hunkered down in the trailer watching the snow fall. Tommy finally made his way down to the trailer and is gobbling and chirping like we have never heard him do before....I think he is a little irritated! Kalynn just went out and took him back to the coop....hopefully he will stay in where it’s warm and dry. LOL Before games and such....after the coffee though....we will have to go sweep off the solar panels...hopefully there is enough light so they can give the batteries a little bit of a charge so we don’t have to run the gennie a lot today and there is chaga to grate, by hand I might add....I will get the kids set up with a tray and grater each and let them go to it! I think it will be a lazy dinner tonight....I am roasting a small chicken (not one of ours) and we are going to have chicken caesars on pitas! A good batch of homemade soup would have been perfect today but I don’t feel like making it! I sure miss our crock-pot on days like these! We have lots of leftover broth from the roast beef we cooked the other night so the kids can make a beef barely soup on Monday. Beef barley...yuuummmmmm....one of my fav soups! A nice big batch of chilli would also be perfect on a day like today! So you think I am hungry....haha. Ok I suppose I should wander on over to check out your pages and see what you all are getting up to today and then get at some other things so we can relax and play games with the kids!
