Good summer job for art/photography student Photographer / Digital Archivist Description: Our company is offering seasonal Summer employment for a talented Photographer and Digital Archivist. The Photographer/Archivist will be photographing, editing, organizing, and maintaining the companys digital photographic archive. The Photographer will have the opportunity to photograph original fine art and various media from several different time periods and cultures, as well as gaining valuable first-hand experience related to photography and digitally editing images for publication on the company website. In addition, the candidate will interact with and learn to identify various styles of visual artwork, as well as gain firsthand experience in the day to day operations of a professional Fine Art Restoration Studio. This is a part-time position @ 20 hours per week and is located in Beverly, MA. Qualifications: Applicants must be able to work independently and successfully with other team members. The candidate should be a self starter and possess strong organizational abilities and computer skills, including expert knowledge of Photoshop and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Applicants must have a background in digital photography, demonstrable with a portfolio of their work. Experience with digital archiving of photographs, as well as skills in graphic design, illustration, digital media or a related field are a plus. Preferably, applicants will have a strong interest and appreciation for fine art. Applicants must have completed at least their second year of undergraduate studies.
