Good visit with vet today. We now feel confident Pretty will get to see Patty when she comes home in mid-April. Well see what happens from there. Thank you for all the cat thoughts. Little (who died about 5 years ago), was my first pet loss, and she was an amazing, hilarious cat who let me use her as a pillow when I was sad. Pretty and I though are like deeply similar creatures, and this has been perhaps more traumatizing, also for its prolonged nature. But getting to worry maybe a little less for the next few weeks is really good news, even though the basics of the situation have not changed.
