Goodafternoon all. My name is Samuel Dennis and I am contesting the position of Law Faculty Representative in the upcoming elections. I am a former year 1 law student, current year 2 and (Human Rights Permitting), a year 3 student in September. Although the nominees in this election are all competent enough to hold this position i believe that my desire to see the Law Society become the premier faculty on campus, innovation and interpersonal skills are well worth investing your vote in come Thursday. Our faculty while being one of the smallest and youngest is nonetheless capable of leading out not only in STA but in Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean. That all depends upon how we build on the foundation we currently have. The faculty is more than the building (s), the faculty is you, I, Jesse, the faculty is US. It would be my pleasure to work with not only all of the other prospective representatives but the faculty at large to take us to a new level. The President is not only someone who can lead a team, or haggle with the guild, it is also someone who can support a team and communicate with the student body and has the vision to lay down the best plan for the Law Society. Dont base your vote only on your personal relationship with the candidate, the year that they are in or where they sit in class. Vote because what they are offering is something that you wish to have. Have a great afternoon and remember the measure of our time at UWI will not necessarily be based on what our GPA is but rather what was our legacy.
