Goodale, McCoy, Jackson, Sanderson and Five Others Nominated for ELSM/NWCA “Social Media of the Year” Award Chapel Hill, NC – Elite Level Sport Marketing (ELSM) and the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) have announced an initial list of nominees for their “Social Media of the Year” award in the Head Coach Category. Following the nomination period, there are nine head coaches that will be included on the ballot for the award. Each of these are individuals who have utilized social media effectively to market their programs while building their personal brand. Matt Azevedo (@MattAzevedo) – Drexel Chris Bono (@ChrisBono) – South Dakota State Scott Goodale (@CoachGoodale) – Rutgers Scott Hinkel (@CoachHinkel) – Purdue Nick Mitchell (@NickMitchell_GV) – Grand View Kerry McCoy (@kmac120) – Maryland Kevin Jackson (@CoachKJ_ISU) – Iowa State Cael Sanderson (@caelsanderson) – Penn State Kevin Ward (@CoachKWard) – Ouachita Baptist “The nominated head coaches have truly been trendsetters in social media marketing for the sport,” said ELSM CEO Coyte Cooper. “They have done a great job building their brand creatively and they certainly deserve to be a part of the competition.” The criteria for determining the award winners will feature two key elements: a panel of judges assessing annual performance (60%) and an online voting competition (40%). The voting for the Head Coach category will take place from June 10th-14th on the ELSM website (elitelevelsportmarketing). Voting will start at 8:00am on Monday and will conclude at 11:59pm on Friday. Fans will be allowed to vote each day. The winner of the award will be announced Wednesday, June 19th at 8:00pm EST on the @ELSMarketing Twitter account. Each winner will receive a custom framed awards poster and will be honored in a feature story that will be housed on the ELSM and NWCA sites.
