Goodbye 2014. So movements high at the finca. There seems to be more action than normal! A strange feeling inside me as we pack up around the finca.. what has stood for serenity peace and healing for just over 2 years now. I know were in for a big process and I try to breathe this in.. and breathe out all thats been achieved here. Friends have come to help us begin.. Abuelo (grandpa) lends a hand. And Abuela ( grandma) prepares a big pot of lentils for the midday lunch. A bowl for our neighbour who has flu bless him. Finca 112 carlota galgos is a family based asoc. The foundations of such.. is love. Healing those who come here searching for inner peace and freedom from hell which theyve known. Aside healing these canine souls.. peoples hearts have been healed along the way here. Children who have needed some encouragement not to fall prey to a crossed path, but to stay firm in their beliefs that they can make it in life. People have come left their inner turmoil at the gates and walked away with a new sensation of faith in life and true love. For we live by the feeling that when its true.. love never fails. Its been a busy busy year. So much has happened and weve so much to be thankful for. The lives that have been saved and moved on to their forevers has been sensational. This is thanks to you sponser parents for helping keeping them safe and sound until their forevers come. To all our adoptants who love these souls and have opened up their homes we cannot complete their happiness without you. I cannot express enough the love we feel for you all for walking the daily path of rescue with us. Without you.. the days would be dark. And lonely. Weve been blessed with so many people visiting us in 2014 and look forward to many in 2015. In June 2014 Chrissy and David Mckellar left the finca to attend their move and while their loss has been felt we wish them all the best in their adventures through life.. for their help and support while they came to the finca. Fundraising and being there. I have no words enough to beable to explain my gratitude to you. Some days I hold my head in my hands and wonder.. how to carry on. Youre there to show me how to keep going. 2014 saw the birth of my book! Wow.. how proud I am. An amazing invitation for us from Greyhounds Rescue Belgium was accepted by Dioni and I to go and visit some of our galgos living there now, sign my book at their Christmas event. Words fail me at the beauty of the area we were in and the kindness of the invite. Thankyou. My heart tells the story of just how these galgos live, and how we plan to make change. One by one, multiplied makes a force to be reckoned with and one day when our community of love is built for the endangered souls there will be no room left for galgueros and misery. For love conquers all. We all need love. Life is too short for anything other than love. To hold a hand. A kind word. An arm on a shoulder or a strong felt hug.. we all need. Theres nothing else to give but this. Theres no need for hard words and pain to hurt someone.. for it serves as no purpose in a persons heart. We all must edify not crucify. Theres enough pain we must just love and aim for a better future for all these wounded souls. 2014 saw us take an emergancy trip to Canada. Luckily as we had departed the finca Kiara had been found. We take every galgo and their adoptants to heart and are always there as a support system. we thank Marco Oberdick for staying at the finca for without you we could not have done this. Being there for Kiara and her family was so important. Despite questions of why we would go, my answer would be clear.. why wouldnt we? If we are needed.. we will be there. 2014 saw the forming of Carlota Galgos Rescue Canada. Another proud moment which leads me to say... if I were anymore proud Id simply burst. A connection made in finding families for these souls who so desperately need every single one of us. For me, Im a sensitive heart and work on a feeling. Ive no time for anything other than to surround these broken beings in positivity. This is the air of how the finca works. Passing on to all who come why we work the way we do, and inviting you to feel just what we feel for these souls. It is because of you and your love that these galgos are safe loved and forever healed. The finca is home to so many individuals. Those in mass trauma and those waiting and balanced for a new forever. It is because of you this happens. The sponser scheme has been a life saver to all the galgos here. To all sponser parents out there... my heart is yours for always. It is you who keeps these endangered souls for the time that they need in safety at the finca. I am so so greatful. There are for me so many people the thank for all your help. Support. .. please know you are always in my heart. Every single day. 2014 saw the departure of our van. I loved my van sooo much. We bought it many years ago and boy did it do a good job. I would sit in the van and say I love my van! All it stood for. All it was. It retired recently and in entered a new van to 112 carlota galgos. Funded by kind kind people and ourselves also. I feel so very very proud to have received such an amazing gesture. It is of intense relief to know that when Dioni drives of.. he and the galgos are safe. Or when I do endless vet visits.. we arrive and come back safely. My eternal thankyou to you all. I sit now in this van and say I love my van! Thankyou to you all. So here we take on new beginnings. To express how I feel.. is so hard for me right now. Maintaining where we are.. adding to where were going. Starting from the beginning but I know the new finca holds new hope. New future. New healings. New visits. New fresh love extended out to all we can reach. A big thankyou to all who have helped by fundraising for us. The work is hard to do this .. I so know. I thankyou with all my heart. Without you the ups and downs are harder. You are all a part of our lives here at finca 112 carlota galgos. I pray for a secure future that one day we can find a way to make it a forever! I pray hard for this. To move us all is so intense. .. but I feel a peace within. A tranquility in the grounds of the new finca that Ive never felt before. Come with us, stay awhile, build up some love... extend some hope for I know that every person you see.. talk to.. will need some grace and love in their life. For all the souls here you have given your love to, your support to, you have set them free. They now know the love theyve never known before. Thankyou for being there.. with all my heart. All my families hearts.. thankyou. All for one and one for all. Never forget that because of you.. these galgos are safe. You are in my heart.. for always. So thankyou 2014 for all youve offered.
