Goodbye Cambodia! When I look back through the photos, I cant imagine how much we seemed to pack into three days in Cambodia. After visiting the Great Lake (Tonle Sap), we still had a couple of hours spare before we had to be at the airport, so asked the driver to take a meander back, and I found the stilted houses between Siem Reap and Tonle Sap captivating. We also wanted to buy a couple of paintings and initially looked along a rather expensive stretch of road that contained the Royal Mausoleum and a top-rank silk shop. With no other customers, I thought we had arrived during their late lunch break as a meal was set out on the floor, but it turned out to be a religious offering. If you look closely, you will see that apart from the fowl, fish and a hard boiled egg, there is even a cup of coffee, soy sauce and a plate of condiments.Quite extraordinary.
