Goodbye, Prudential Fox & Roach! Hello, Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Fox & Roach! As of tomorrow, Nov. 11, 2013, Prudential Fox & Roach will be no more. Our Greenville marketing center, like all other PFR offices in the Tri-State area, will become an outpost of Warren Buffetts financial empire. I have handsome new business cards sporting Berkshire Hathaways cabernet-and- cream colors. My signs, stationery and other marketing tools will be taking on a similar look. Other than that, things will be pretty much the same. Same desk in the same office at 3838 Kennett Pike in Greenville. Same phone numbers (the mobile one, 302-593-2102 is preferred). Same great boss, Eric Braunstein, hard-working office staff and versatile associates. My husband Dixie and I joined what has become this organization back the 1980s. I had actually started my career with the old T. B. OToole firm, working out of an office in what later became the Hotel Du Ponts Green Room Bar. Together, Dixie and I worked for Gilpin Realtors in what was then the Radisson Hotel before going to work for our good friend, B. Gary Scott, in Wilmington at first and later in his new Greenville office. We stayed put when Gary sold the company and it became Prudential Preferred Properties, and again when it became Prudential Fox & Roach. Its said that the more things change, the more they are the same. Thats certainly true for me. My understanding of the Realtors responsibilities to her clients will remain the same. My commitment to going the extra mile with them, whether they are buying, selling, or simply need professional advice, will remain the same. My dedication to the job will remain the same. I love my work, and I love the idea of working for a wizard like Warren Buffett and the Next Big Thing in Real Estate -- Berkshire Hathaway Fox & Roach.
