Goodbye to my dear friend Jim Frasure. He only lived to age 43 - TopicsExpress

Goodbye to my dear friend Jim Frasure. He only lived to age 43 but the obituary below shows that he lived life to the fullest. I remember Jim as a true and genuine friend. A rare individual I could really connect with. I enjoyed the many conversations I had with Jim. I remember playing basketball with Jim in Junior High school, playing tennis, playing pool and ping-pong at my mom & dads house, and running cross country in high school. I wonder if anyone else on the 1988 cross country team remembers how after cross country practice we would have a touch football game with the freshmen on one team and the rest of us on the other side. Jim insisted I be the quarterback of our team even though I couldnt consistently throw the ball straight. Maybe thats why we usually lost, but those games are among my favorite memories. Does anyone on that cross country team remember the pep talks that Jim would give to the team before the meets? Very motivating. I remember Kelly Scott saying at our 20th reunion how he really enjoyed being on the cross country team with Jim Frasure. I wholeheartedly agree. Somehow Jim got my sense of humor. Jim always brightened my day. I last spoke with Jim on the phone a year or 2 ago I think, and I remember he was really enjoying life with his family. Rose told me he called a couple weeks ago but unfortunately I didnt get around to calling back. I hope all is well with Jims family. I will be there for Jims memorial service this coming Wednesday July 2nd. kimballfh/fh/obituaries/obituary.cfm?o_id=2581337&fh_id=13407
