Google to Provide Project Ara Updates Early Next Year: By Mike MahardyGoogle is holding a series of conferences early next year to address updates to Project Ara, its modular smartphone. The conferences will highlight major changes and advances to the devices swappable tech. The first event will take place Jan. 14, 2015 in Mountain View, Cal., with satellite locations at offices in New York City, Buenos Aires and London. Google will host an identical conference exactly one week later for developers in Asia –– this event will be held in Singapore, with satellite locations in Bangalore, Tokyo, Taipei and Shanghai.
