Goood Saturday Morning!!! its 72 degrees with a high today of 94 low of 72 winds 5mph w/ a 20% chance of rain during the day and 10% tonight...bare with me this morning as this may be a little longer...There is a cost to following Jesus....HE says you must Deny yourself, Take up the cross, and follow HIM, (Luke 9:23) there are many who have faith....however faith without works is dead (James 2:17) Do you have an excuse today? these did....Luke 9:57-62English Standard Version (ESV) The Cost of Following Jesus 57 As they were going along the road, someone said to him, “I will follow you wherever you go.” 58 And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.” 59 To another he said, “Follow me.” But he said, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.” 60 And Jesus[a] said to him, “Leave the dead to bury their own dead. But as for you, go and proclaim the kingdom of God.” 61 Yet another said, “I will follow you, Lord, but let me first say farewell to those at my home.” 62 Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.” So when asked to go on a mission trip, do good works through your church or by yourself by Jesus...remember those who have an excuse not to are not fit for the Kingdom of God....
