Gorgeous walk I just had along the Beach. I feel ~ fortunate. The sun was setting, the colors danced across the lite up sky while peeking through the clouds...was stunning to watch. My nose & cheeks were cold, yet body warm. Was that kind of cold that you dont mind one bit loving the smells & sounds around you. Listening to the waves was soothing, looking out on the surface of the rippling water the sun made the water seemingly to sparkle & through the air crisp..my cheeks feeling the breeze, the smell of wood burning was heavenly. I love that smell. It wraps me in memories of the past I hold dear to my heart. Moments of family times that are precious having such significance of pure love attached ... I reminisce with my soul on fire, feeling the warmth of those memories, it took me away to a safe & happy place. A place I miss so much. Standing there alone I realized I have chosen to be alone for what seems to be a very long time, ..but thats been ok..for now. The children all grown up with lives of their own, made me realize once again how the time has past, so quickly it seems. Those family times together however are with me forever. Its what keeps me going ...knowing how I treasure those times & do want more. In the now, for me, this environment feeds my soul while I continue my journey alone and also realized I couldnt be any where else in the entire world other than here. This kind of tranquility & peace...I felt, as I stood there, really is priceless!! Taking a deep breath in...I know in my heart this is home for me. Living in Nature environment..it just has to be. Suddenly, I realize the silence around me (due to cottages tucked in for the winter) not many gather for this season , many cottages empty. I like that too :) I like the feeling of resting my bones in peace, no heavy traffic, no sirens, just living the simple life! Places as this soothe my very soul. ......what a lovely walk tonight!
