Gospel Bliss: You are not for sale. You belong. The gospel is not where God bought you back from the devil after selling you off because of your sin. Neither is the gospel where Jesus convinced the Father to accept you by paying off your infinite debt. The truth is that you have always belonged. God never sold you off. It was Adam and Eve who sold themselves short to a lie because of their own guilt and shame. You have always been worthy of love. It was not your sin that dictated the measure of God’s giving. It was your value as a son/daughter that caused God give it all for you! The gospel is not about satisfying an infinite debt to God. The gospel is the God who gave himself in infinite measure because of his satisfaction in you! Oh to ponder the measure of Christ’s love that no measurement can accurately measure! Such width, length, depth, and height! -Eph 3:18-19
