Gospel Reading Monday 24th March 2014 Truly I say to you, no prophet is acceptable in his own country..... REFLECTION The prophets, because they speak the truth, stand for justice and call us to obedience of faith, do often have a way of unsettling our ways of thinking and doing. That is also the reason why prophets are generally not liked , especially if they are too familiar. However, it is only when we obey them that miracles happen; but first, we must be healed of our prejudices biases and chauvinism in order to be really healed spiritually. It is important, therefore, to hear and heed what is said by the prophets, rather than worry about who the prophet is or who says it! ~ Luke 4:24-30
