Got Meat! Nov 12 with Muzzle Loading Rifle. It was colder than a well diggers hind leg and so foggy on the mountain I could not even see the ground from my stand... So, I decided to get on the ground in a steep sided creek bottom so I could at least see something. I crawled into my German Military sleeping bag, Put on my face warmer and pulled down my Toboggan and decided to wait it out until the fog lifted or something stepped into my lap. The fog did not clear until noon, At about 2:00PM this fat but small antlered 7 pnt Buck walked out of the brush and right in my face. About 15 dead in front of me. We were both surprised,. ... And I was not ready to shoot, Like always the Buck ran, At about 80 yds he stopped behind a tree. But this time he stepped forward just enough to give me the 95+% sure shot. Ka-boom. He runs 40 yds and crashes. I see white Belly so I know there will be venison in the freezer.
