Got ‘Purple’ and ‘Core’ by Stone Temple Pilots on CD today. Brings back so many memories of the 90s; I would listen to this (on tape), while photographing disused psychiatric hospitals, this sound, shattering the silence of my surroundings, expanding my mind to unbelievable levels, not to mention the clinical odour, and decay – the locked lives contained behind the walls. It was like a war; emotion meeting my own personal psychological fragility head on……… both trying to escape.!
