Got a call from obamacare today telling me that the state of Alabama is denying coverage to my kids. The prerecorded message said I should call obamacare to find out what to do next. On the last day of December our old coverage expired and the new coverage was to take effect (at least thats what obamacare said then). So I promptly called obamacare tonight. They dont have any record of a denial from the state of Alabama (although they called to tell me about it) and told me I would have to wait until I got an official denial letter. In the meantime my kids remain uncovered. Keep in mind I had insurance until the affordable health care act made it where I could no longer afford.
