As discussed, I specialise in recruiting into the data analytics market here in Sydney and we are currently looking for a couple of switched on, Masters or PHD students, to work with one of Australia’s leading financial institutions. These roles will focus on the development of Loss Given Default Models for the Institutional arm of the bank. Initially, these opportunities are 6-12 months in tenure, however the likelihood is that the bank would want to take them on permanently (should they be working well). Please find some information below on the type of candidate we would be looking for; · Masters or PHD in Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering · Programming experience in either R or SAS · Understanding of Basel II/III regulations · Strong understanding of applied statistical techniques: linear and non-linear regression, time series forecasting, panel data analysis, optimization, data mining and survival analysis · Smart and switched on, with strong communication skills · Broader business acumen, by this I mean an ability to take complex ideas and break them down for a non-technical audience Any help/assistance in finding someone suitable will be greatly appreciated.
