Got a message from my neighbor last night that he had a bunch of fire wood logs cut up and stacked at the end of his driveway that I could pick up if I wanted it! Now I usually like to get firewood when its not close to 100 degrees outside and that is normally what I do. And that is exactly what I did earlier this season....but then again...I hate to turn down firewood anytime. So I rode over there and loaded the entire back on my pick up with wood. I had to do that very carefully since Im still nursing this bad shoulder. Back home I was too hot to try and unload it and had to take a break from the heat. But then the rains came and I decided now was the time to get it done without having to worry about heat stroke. So I spent about two hours unloading and stacking/re-stacking wood in the rain and got that job done. After that task I had been putting off tumbling some older ammo that had tarnished from sitting up to long in the garage. So I ran some test to figure out how long it takes to tumble polish live rounds without creating a danger. The results were about 30 minutes using walnut shell media in a vibrating tumbler. I ran 44 magnum first and it cleaned up really nice. Next I ran some rough looking 3006 cartridges for over an hour and they also cleaned up nicely but got a little warm...not hot but warm. I like the results and will post some pics tomorrow! Next up....since I was bach-ing it tonight...I went and picked up my bro Butch Peck and we went out to dinner and then back over here to watch a Tom Petty documentary and play a handful of songs we are working on too. Had a great time but I am feeling a little exhausted now... Catch yall tomorrow!
