Got a new one for everyones reading pleasure. A 2006 Ford Escape - TopicsExpress

Got a new one for everyones reading pleasure. A 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid was towed to us because no one in the area wanted to work on a hybrid. It was sitting at the customers house for almost a year without being drove due to being in Kuwait. After returning the 12 volt battery had died and replaced but had more troubles then just that. After testing all if the fuses I had found the fuse for the ignition switch only had 3.6 volts. After doing some wiring diagram research I checked the fuse at the under hood main fuse box for that circuit and had proper voltage there. So I traced the wire and found that the Escape was in a wreck and the body shop never reattached the main wiring loom to its proper spot and the power wire had rubbed threw and cut it causing the entire issue. During the process I had found where some mud wasps had made a nest in the fresh air intake tube to the air filter box..... Just another day at the shop!
