Got a question for any/all Harrison aficionados.....Through out The Beatles career to the best of my knowledge there is close to no slide guitar (For You Blue slide was provided by John, and Drive My Car has a solo that appears to have slide on it provided by Paul) but nowhere in their recordings 1962-1970 other than those 2 tracks feature a slide guitar. Yet on his first proper solo album All Things Must Pass (1970) Harrison comes out with a slide guitar style that is utterly melodic as it is precise and lyrical...the tone, the phrasing, everything about it is all there...Always made me think he was holding on to that for his solo career...I mean I cant believe there was no practice and wood shedding (which would have been during The Beatle years) to have premiered this style of playing the year The Beatles officially broke up??....Was not until 1995s Free As A Bird that Georges awesome slide guitar was featured on a Beatle track....Thought???
