Climbing Leader: Dean Staples, New Zealand Assistant Guides: Ang Dorjee Sherpa, Pangboche, Nepal / USA Base Camp Manager: Caroline Blaikie, New Zealand / Scotland Expedition Doctor: Dr Sophie Wallace, Australia / UK Base Camp Food Manager: Sarah Macnab, New Zealand Expedition Sirdar: Ang Tshering Sherpa, Khumjung, Nepal The Everest Expedition 2014 climbing team members are: Nick Durack - Britain Yoshio Goto – Japan / Hong Kong Jake Frykberg- Australia Jon Johnston – Australia / USA Anatolii Stegniei – Ukraine Villa Gissurardóttir - Iceland The Everest Expedition 2014 base camp team members are: Tim Robertson – New Zealand (Guide) Eileen Aguirre – Australia Eunice Freer – New Zealand Terry Kinloch – New Zealand Carol Kinloch – New Zealand Theresa Martinovich - New Zealand Darren Vader – USA Elizabeth (Bidi) Sharland - New Zealand Mary Lee – USA Fred Herron – USA Michael Sidey - New Zealand Catherine Sidey - New Zealand Kerstin Sarges – Germany Paul Hameister – Australia; (Paul has completed the 7 summits including Everest in 2011) Vanessa Hameister- Australia Kane Hameister- Australia Jade Hameister- Australia Bidi Sharland and Nawang Chhongba will depart from the main group at Lobuche, on the ‘down valley’ section and will culminate their journey with an extension trek over the Cho La Pass into the Gokyo valley. In addition, there will be 10 Climbing Sherpas with us plus 16 cooks, cook boys and water carriers whom make up the Base Camp/Camp 2 Sherpa staff.
