Got an interesting piece of political mail today. Wow. It detailed Jim Colvers political instablility and implied a lack of integrity (district 9 house seat). By contrast, I found this on George Rauschers website: georgerauscher/home.html As a father, a businessman, a property owner, and a council member involved in state and local issues for decades, I see a need for a more fiscally responsible government in Alaska. We need a government that provides a more business friendly climate which will provide much needed family wage jobs for Alaskans. Business will bring forth the market, organization, finance and assume the risk, Government must provide: 1. Needed and necessary infrastructure 2. Business friendly environment 3. A trained and energetic work force 4. Reasonable cost of energy 5. A quality education system 6. Quality Public Safety 7. Responsible resource development 8. Community livability. The better a government does in the implementation and management of these eight pillars the greater the economic benefit. A government should preserve our personal freedoms, protect the lives of the unborn, provide the infrastructure to help our state grow economically, and allow for the quality education of our children.
