Got back a few minutes ago from having a 21/2 hour dinner with my Grand daughter, McKenzie,and her friend. She mostly reminisced about us and our times together, while telling stories to her friend. She seemed to enjoy it, so it went on for awhile. I know I sure enjoyed it. In the time allowed it brought back so many good memories. Every day I ever spent with her was a day not to forget. Still it was facinating hearing two 18 year olds talk about life, college and how they see things. They were not putting on a front for me ,as McKenzie has never had to do that with me. But both are good girls, pretty, normal ,and tempted by college life. Only one piece of bad news came out. They are both transferring from South Carolina to Clemson. What?? Waitress bring me a bowl of Rolaids.. How did the time when we were eatting out and I was getting her a coloring book and crayons, go so quickly by. Thank the good Lord we have spent so much time together. Times like this put the things you didnt do so right in a secondary place, and rewards you for getting something right. Thats fair. They headed back to Columbia and I headed home hoping I had made parents/grandparents as proud as I am of her.
