Got back to High Barnet tube st, after a long journey from Greenwich Uni, only to find that my car had ESP failure ( I read this all up in the book). Radio and inside lights working, but 0% in the engine. Called Russ, who was in transit from Oxford st underground, to arrange the AA, my phone was 0%, so we got cut off. There I am in the carpark, in the dark and raining. After lending my jump start leads to a couple who had left their lights on, they went on their merry way, cause they couldnt help. I read about the ESP emergency plug and pulled it, but no joy Then the boys in blue arrived, they couldnt help with the mechanics, but guarded over me until Russ or the AA arrived first. Russ arrives and off they went. How reassuring is that. Thanks, Ian and Ewan xx
