Got back to PA Sunday evening and drove to NYC last night, to deliver two evening talks. I hope I can make it to the venue this evening without passing people covertly recording themselves walking around NYC to measure catcalling. Speaking as a man who does not catcall, I want to see that experiment (most of you have probably seen that viral video) done outside the Metropolitan Museum of Art, or MOMA, or outside Lincoln Center, or the Javits center, in front of City Hall or the Courthouse or the Stock Exchange. Yknow - just for a little balance. Im not invalidating the point of that experiment; just pointing out that if you pay attention to the neighborhoods the girl walked through, youll see she was somewhat selective in terms of where she walked. That adds a wrinkle that is difficult to ignore. (Michael DeBusk - I think youll agree).
