Got home from Denton at 11:15 last night. It was so good to sleep in my own bed with the hubs and wake up not having to face the drive today. Mother went home to her apartment yesterday afternoon feeling stronger than ever. Its amazing what a good pumping heart can do for a person. LOL! Last night around 11 as I was driving the last few miles we spoke on the phone. She was determined to be awake when I got home so she would know I made it safely. Once a Mom, always a Mom! Anyway, she told me that she is feeling strong enough to stop using the walker and go back to her cane. All this time, Becky Wade Hughes and I thought she was using the walker because she didnt trust her knee. Turns out, it was because she could not walk more than 15 - 20 feet without having to sit down and regain her strength. Thanks to everyone for your prayers and concerns for our precious mother. God continues to bless us with having her to love in person. Mom will be 83 on 08/12. We never know what to get her. I got in her car to pick her up at the hospital and noticed that the headliner had started to pull away. The service man says it is due to the harsh Texas heat. Mom said she hadnt noticed it. I told her it is because she is so short it didnt bother her. It was touching the top of my head. LMAO!! Guess what Mom is getting for her birthday??
