Got me a good mess of young green beans. Popped the ends off. Heated up, on medium, about a tablespoon of lard in a 12 saute pan. Throwed the beans into the pan when it got hot. Added about an eighth of a stick of butter (NOT margarine), a goodly bit of salt and pepper, a teaspoon of minced garlic. Stirred and stirred and stirred some more until the beans were coated with stuff, warm all the way through with some sear marks - but still semi-crispy. Fished the beans out onto a plate. Got me a paper towel to wipe my mouth and fingers. Ate it every bit. Oh yum, yum, yum.
