Got me one of those problems that I get often in my busy tourist season. A friend has tickets for us to go see Les Miserables tomorrow. BUT I have guests arriving SOME TIME ?? tomorrow from the UK. Their presence does not necessarily preclude my freedom to leave the house for a few hours in the evening, unless of course they are to arrive during the time I would be gone or close to the time of my departure. They may even like to join us. Conversely, they may have their own plans scheduled. They could arrive anytime from very very early in the morning as some of the Alaska Ferries arrive at crack of dawn… anytime till late night. This also means that today I am scurrying to make the house picture perfect and do the prep for Fri morns breakie. In case folks are very sociable and opt to spend quality time with me I hate to have to be doing the prep of my tortillas, my crepes, the 2 fillings and the fruit salad with them around. I cannot presume that they will be the type who after polite niceties move right along with their own plans . If thats the case I do all I can and tell them all I can re: the towns amenities etc, give them a key to come and go with the explanation that I will be out for a while. Shot them off an email but they are en route and so far no response meanwhile friend needs to invite someone else .. The musical is on 3 nights so I can go another night but without someone to spur me on I probably will find reason to stay home …. If I do that I will be sorry Victor Hugos French classic literary masterpiece on life philosophy done by locals at our Preforming Arts Centre It is not something I want to miss...
