Got my new crank puller in today in the mail. Changed out my small - TopicsExpress

Got my new crank puller in today in the mail. Changed out my small (30t) chainring to a tiny one (24t). Needed to tweak the front derailleur a little bit. It works and shifts well, but the real test will be on the road. This is the absolute limit my derailleur can handle (28t difference). Now my setup is 52/42/24 on the front and 11-32 on the back giving me a gear-inch range of 122 through 19.5. There is a tiny bit of rubbing from the chain on the middle ring when in the 24t wheel. I think if I can get some correct washers I can shim the small ring from the inside and that will move the chain away from the middle ring enough. If not, I may need to replace the small ring with a 26t. Well see how it works out for now. Either way Im seriously stoked to tackle my current nemesis, the hill at Sandy Valley road that has a .10 mile 11% grade that kicks my butt every time.
