Got picked up at the hotel at 9am and taken by shuttle to Salem. MA where we collected the 6 Motorhomes. After all the inspections and hand overs left in convoy to head off. Well that lasted until the second set of traffic lights and we headed onto the freeway. Pulled over to await the others and after 15 mins moved on when there was no sign of them. Knowing they all had set GPS figured theyd survive. We decided to avoid the toll section and veered off.......silly us ......so did 5000 others exiting the city to head off for the Labor Day weekend. OMG the traffic!! Got to Walmart about 245 and shopped for supplies. Others arrived not far behind us. We convoyed with two other vehicles to the RV park only 7 miles away. Spent the rest of the day unpacking and settling in at KOA campground at Saco MA. 10 of us gathered after tea and we lit a fire and chatted with a few nerve settling wines and recounted the days adventure with who got lost and who didnt. All retired at around 1030. A great day.......
