Got really upset last night when a jewelry designer tried to dress me in a tacky gold swimsuit and stickers after hours of makeup and hair... They told me that since I am a model, I should be comfortable wearing any kind of clothing, that it was my job to wear whatever the designer wanted me to wear. When I told them I didnt want to do a presentation half naked, they then tried to make it a body-conscious issue. They told me professional models wear whatever they are given and are proud to show off their bodies, they dont question the attire. They pulled my clothing aside to see if I have abs, and told me I was absolutely gorgeous, I shouldnt have to worry. I became REAL professional with them and pulled myself from the job and left.... It isnt a body conscious or comfort issue, its a standard issue. Every model that stayed was just as uncomfortable as I was, they just didnt voice their discomfort because they didnt want to loose a job. Girls, stop compromising your standards for short term gain, its not worth it!
