Got some bad news yesterday. Found out that my nephew Kyron was going to fail an elective. After my sister and I reviewed his grades my nephew assured us that at least 4 of those zeros were assignments he did. In my profession there is an IRS code that is more affectionately known as Know your customer the same applies to your child. I looked in that boys eyes and I know my nephew. My sister and I called the calvary, set a meeting with his counselor, principal, and the teacher. Miraculously this morning we get a call (20 minutes before meeting) that the 4 grades in question had been found. Parents sometime we must admit that we have a mischievous little rascal and work in conjunction with the school system, but dont be complacent and take anything you feel is unfair sitting down! Now Im not saying show up in hair rollers and pajamas armed with a combative limited vocabulary, but convey the fact that your child is loved and held accountable but so are they!
