Got tagged by Sarah Samson. D pa ako handa hahaha, medyo konti pa lang nababasa kong seryosong books. Here are my faves in no particular order 1. Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling -the first novel series that I ever finished. Got so addicted na kahit may exams na kinabukasan, binabasa ko pa sya. 2. Kikomachine Komiks by Manix Abrera -one of the best comics ever. Gave me a glimpse of college life nung binabasa ko sya nung HS days ko. What I really liked is that it meddled with my own existential thoughts in some of the comic strips and helped me see things differently. 3. Night by Elie Weisel -one of the most provocative books I have read. It is a real story about a survivor of the Holocaust. It taught me what it means to be empty inside. 4. Dreams from my Father by Barack Obama -it is about how Obama discovered his identity as he retraced the footprints of his long lost father who just died in an accident. Medyo nakakarelate personally. 5. Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom - it taught me how to live life. Death will certainly come but what matters is what you did with the time you are given. 6. The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch -it is about what a dad wants to tell his little children before he leaves this world. Medyo personal din yung effect nya. 6. Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Partchett (thanks to Yani for giving me this book) -way to make the apocalypse fun and exciting by coupling it with witty yet funny characters and crazy plot twists. 7. Wag Lang Di Makaraos by Eros Atalia -after ko mabasa to, idol ko na si Sir Eros. Filled with short stories pero mapapa-isip ka talaga every once in a while per story for about 10 mins. My type of bedtime stories. 8. The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien -nung una ko sya nabasa, d ko sya gaano naintindihan kasi iba yung writing style Tolkien. The second time na binasa ko, boom, nabuksan ang isip ko and lumawak ang vocabulary and grammar skills ko. 9.Flipped Wendelin Van Draanen -taught me about what makes a real person. Though about young love sya, mas napansin ko yung pinaparating ng author: it is all about conviction in what you believe in. 10. To Kill A Mocking Bird by Harper Lee -introduced me to what a real American classic is. P.S. d ko na sinali ang TFIOS and the Time Keeper kasi connected sila sa learnings ko sa Tuesdays with Morrie. And so, I must tag people na alam kong mahilig magbasa. Christine Lim Casuncad Jonas MondalaJeano Rustico CruzJustin ArrojadoHazel Co
