Got teary eyed and choked up when I happened upon a display of Easter Lillies last night at Walmart. I noticed the clerk looking at me funny and I said Im sorry, my mom passed away March 25th and I always bought her one of these at Easter. She Said She Lost Her Mom 10 Months Ago So She Understood and knows its hard. She then quietly told me she also lost her 30 year old daughter five years ago in a random drive by shooting as she sat at a drive through atm. She said shes never gotten her life back on track since then and her pain was evident. I caused my mother a lot of pain growing up but I thanked God right then that she never knew that kind of pain. My problems seemed small in light of that and I said a silent prayer for this lady. Tonight I will be back at Walmart to give this sweet lady an Easter Lilly in the absence of my mama and her daughter and I hope it makes us all four shed a smile In place of a tear.
