Got the clutch fixed on my truck today. So as Im on the way home from dinner, the clutch seizes up. Sitting in my broken-down-just-fixed truck on a cold, dark night, I become increasingly aware that I should have used the restroom before leaving the restaurant. What can I do to take my mind off my need for a restroom and to lift my spirits? Ahhh, I know: Ill sing a happy song! Now I burst into song, a chorus about the joy of the Lord we used to sing in church when I was a kid ... Oh, say but Im glad, Im glad. Oh, say but Im gla-a-ad. But then I was quickly reminded of the building force on my bladder as I sang the second half of the chorus ... Jesus has come, AND MY CUPS OVERRUN. Had to laugh as I sang the last line ... Oh, say but Im glad. Somehow, I got the feeling that Mom was looking down from heaven and having a good chuckle as well.
