Got third place today at Copa America. Disappointed in my performance against the guy who won first place. Took him down and Had the ezkiel locked in and didnt finish it. The guy was tough. He got the kimura from guard that I rolled out of and he got mount and scored 6 points for that and the sweep. I swept him from the bottom and was then working on the pass and had the pass but couldnt establish side control. Was about to take the back when the bell rung. I am going to put a video up later. I have a lot of work to do and I am going to do it. I am only going to allow this temporary disappointment to fuel my work ethic. I understand now what I have to become to beat these guys. However, I am very proud of Hong Li who got second place and had an awesome performance today, Lucas who won first place, and Matheus Borges who won 2nd place but took on absolute monster who is a lot bigger than me. Proud of my training partners. Proud to be part of Borges BJJ! Thank you to Ashley, Wes, and Melena for coming to support me. Thank you guys so much.
