Got to comment on the announcement that Kate Bush has announced a 15 night residency at the Hammersmith Apollo. What do I say! as a huge Kate Bush Fan I should be delighted but unfortunately I cant be. Kate in my eyes anyway, is without doubt one of the most important recording artists ever to come from these shores. Nevertheless, she not 26/27 years old like she was when she recording the sublime - Hounds Of Love Album. I dont normally cite albums that everyone should personally own but FB fans, if I ever had to recommend ONE album that every household should have a copy of it would be Kate Bushs - Hounds Of Love Album (1985). The second side of Hounds Of Love (The Ninth Wave) is completely and utterly to die for, completely captivating, stimulating, tremendously creative and above all truly beautiful. After hearing Kates beautiful and touching - Hello Earth - track on the Hounds Of Love Album, I never thought I would completely change the way I perceive this utterly beautiful place we happen to call planet Earth, in the same way as I do now. Thats all down to Kate Bush folks. Anyway, going back to Kate Bush doing a 15 night residency at the Hammersmith Apollo could be great but who knows, Kate hasnt performed live since 1979 so dont expect Kate to be that confident. Remember this is a Woman who has clearly stated she never liked the fame and glamour of the industry shes in. Anyway, theres my views on Kate Bush going back on tour.
