Gotta love CODEPINK. CODEPINK delivered a petition today signed by thousands of Senator Elizabeths constituents from Massachusetts, to her office in Washington DC. The petition says: Dear Senator Warren, We were appalled to hear your justification of the Israeli massacre in Gaza this summer which left over 2,000 people dead and over 100,000 displaced. As an iconic progressive, we look up to you as someone who stands up for the little guy against corrupt corporations. So why are you siding with the big bully Israel? Bombing schools and hospitals is never acceptable and is NOT self-defense! We call on you and the rest of the US government to stop sending billions of dollars worth of military aid that is being used to kill, maim, and oppress Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. We should be using that money for diplomacy and rebuilding the lives of Palestinians that have been shattered from decades of violence. Especially after the latest round of violence, the people of Gaza are in desperate need of clean water, healthcare, food, building materials for their homes, and other basic necessities. US aid to Israel must end and the blockade of Gaza must be lifted so that the Gazans can rebuild their lives with dignity.
