Gotta love it when a local band gets 5,000 likes over night and then start putting themselves on a pedestal over all of the other local bands. Then they weave their deception even farther by signing a ONLINE DISTRIBUTION deal with a small Indie label, and play it off like theyre touring the world, when in reality theyve only played 1 show in 4 years. 4 years goes by and they only get a few hundred likes in that time. A massive shortage from the 5,000 over night. And then they play it off like they got 5,000 fans over night because of good online promotion. In the words of Fire Marshall Bill...let me tell you something! You wouldnt even get 5,000 fans if your song played once on Liquid Metal, so dont try telling me that 5,000 fans came from good online promotion. Man up...you bought the fans to put yourself in a pedestal. Ladies and gentlemen, a online distribution deal is not a contract. Any band can easily distribute their music online through a plethora of online stores (iTunes, Amazon, SoundCloud, etc.) and keep 100% of the profits by doing it on their own. If you use a record contract like this to talk down to local musicians then you will forever be on my shit list. I get along with almost any musician because theyre human...Im human...so theres humility. But if they are anything like the band I just talked about then thats another story. I will warn every local band about you till the day you break up. And after you break up I will use you as an example of what NOT to become for young aspiring musicians. Bet on it.
