Gotta love that Portland nice racism (3:05 mark). Whats a better argument for home schooling than a crowd of teachers cheering as some parent goes off on how PPS is hiring incompetent administrators of color, while making no mention of the fact that there are a hell of a lot of incompetent white administrators too. And she had the nerve to say, Do not misconstrue this statement. When your options are a bureaucracy littered with incompetence of all colors and creeds (many who have formed groups to protect their brand of screwing up) or privatized, assembly line worker training with desks, why wouldnt you home school or find some other alternative, if you could? At the end of the day, this answer to education problems is on us because these systems that are getting all the attention are designed to go a step forward and two or three back.
