Gotta love this... and it does make you think. I was having a conversation with someone a few days ago with someone who grew up in India and has been to several other countries. He said people in Toronto arent friendly and honestly Ive had a different experience. But then he said basically you cant just say whatever you want, like we have to have filters over what were saying or if you say something totally outrageous and unfiltered, people here get uncomfortable. And then he brought up the point this video makes... we dont talk to each other. On buses, trains and in public, we avert our eyes from people, and, especially in closed spaces like elevators or transit, we do everything possible to NOT engage with people. Or they might think were crazy or stalkers or something, right? Well, what if we didnt do that? What if we brought our heads up from our phones and ipads and said hi to someone? What if we met peoples eyes with a friendly smile instead of staring at all the ads or sidewalk? And yeah. What would happen if we did start dancing on the subway? lol Would be cool to start an ecstatic dance flash mob... Thanks for sharing this, Erica Ross and Tad Hargrave.
