Gotta share my feeling with the world... First of all, the most important person in the world to me got a small dose of what she deserves for all of the hard work and craziness from my wild ideas I have drug her through for the last 34 years.. By now you know I am talking about my lovely wife Debi and I think she is the most amazing person I know. This past weekend we ran the 38th annual fund raising festival at Sertoma Youth Ranch for the first time. This event raises funds for youth programs and the operation of the ranch. Our challenge was to rescue this annual event from possible extinction so we gave it our ALL. Since last June, Deb and I worked day and night relentlessly and who would have known that it would actually pay off. It is important to know that we are both grateful for the many people who have worked so hard to develop the festival since its inception 38 years ago. We are equally grateful for the opportunity. Letting them down was NOT an option but pulling it off was once thought to be impossible. Even with the threat of bad weather we crossed the finish line... The ingredients for this weeks success... The BEST volunteers on the planet, the Best entertainers around and the greatest fans of bluegrass and friends you could have. Thank a million to all who attended and helped. The Ranch staff was outstanding and there couldnt have been a better partner to accomplish all that we did. (photo was taken by our great friend Dave McBrady.)
