Gotta share something personal with the world. A lot of people invite me to have a political discussion with them, but when I finish work for the day or week, get off the computer, and am finished with helping out friends & neighbors around town, the last thing I want to do is spend my few hours of free time engaging in more political talk UNLESS it actually directly changes the world. I know I give the impression that politics is all I ever do, but it must be known: I do not enjoy talking politics. The world is really screwed up and I do it because I feel RESPONSIBLE. Period. Just talking doesnt change the world. I dont even really like it. Im a do-er. I really want to just BE. More than I am able, I want to go to a river or drive into an abyss of nowhere, on my time off. I do appreciate the gesture of being thought of when it comes to important things in the world. But I watch most of my friends & acquaintances going off to the lake or camping, and I wonder if I just dont even fit in anymore. So, dont be surprised if I decline your invite to a political discussion. Thanks
